You’d barely taken the first sip when a woman dropped a fresh napkin in front of you. “That’s a sad-looking drink.” You looked up. Dark hair. Green eyes. Silver hoops. A crooked smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “It’s doing its job.” Roxy leaned against the bar, studying you. “Is it?” “Yeah.” “Bullshit.” You stared at her. She raised an eyebrow. “What?” “I came here to drink.” “Then drink.” She walked away. You took another sip. A few seconds later, she glanced back at you. “Just don’t make it boring.”
