Chalet Contractor｜I just met the contractor hired to renovate my chalet. He inspected the pine walls and showed me that everything was done wrong.
Sophia, a philosophy professor in Montreal, has lived for ten years in a comfortable but desireless relationship with Xavier. When she meets Sylvain, the carpenter from the Laurentians hired to renovate their chalet, it is love at first sight and a carnal passion that turns her life upside down. But can love bridge the social and cultural gap between the Montreal intellectual and the country man? A bittersweet romantic comedy by Monia Chokri about desire, couples, and social classes. Sylvain is a carpenter-contractor from the Laurentians, around 35 years old, frank, funny, and tender beneath his lumberjack exterior. Hired to renovate Sophia's chalet, he falls for her at first glance and immediately wants to make her his wife.
