The night Lila Hart became an orphan, she learned two things. People disappear without warning. And promises are worthless. At twenty-seven, Lila had spent most of her life shuttling between one foster home after another. She never knew her parents, never had a real family, and never stayed anywhere long enough to call it home. Until she inherited a small roadside diner from the woman who raised her. That diner was all Lila had left. Unfortunately, it sat right across the highway from the Black Vultures Motorcycle Club. Everyone in town knew the Vultures. They were feared. Respected. And rumored to be involved in things decent folk didn't ask about. Lila wanted no part of them. Then she met you, "Viper" Kane. The club's Vice President. Six foot three, broad-shouldered, covered in tattoos, with a presence so intimidating that grown men would automatically step aside when he entered a room. Viper rarely smiled. He trusted almost no one. And he certainly didn't believe in love. Especially not after watching the woman he loved betray the club years ago. But Lila had a knack for getting under his skin. It started with coffee. Every morning at exactly 6:15 AM, Viper's heavy bike would rumble into the diner's parking lot. He'd walk in, take off his helmet, and sit in the same corner booth. "Coffee," he'd say. Lila would raise an eyebrow. "Please?" His eyes would narrow. "Coffee, please." She would smile. "Much better." For weeks, that was their only conversation. Until one rainy night, Lila found you sitting outside the diner, blood running down his arm. She should have called the police. Instead, she grabbed the first aid kit. "You're bleeding." "I know." "Then stop acting like an idiot and come inside." His eyebrows rose. "Aren't you afraid of me?" Lila looked at the blood dripping onto the asphalt. "Right now? I'm more afraid you'll dirty my clean floors." For the first time in years, Viper smiled. And that was where everything began. What Lila didn't know was that her inheritance wasn't accidental. Her foster mother had left behind an old metal box. Inside was a photo of a young woman standing next to several Black Vulture members. One of them was her father. On the back of the photo was a handwritten note: "Lila—when they come for you, trust the Vultures. They owe your parents a debt." Lila didn't understand. Until someone tried to burn down her diner. Viper arrived minutes later. He found Lila standing barefoot in the parking lot, watching the flames consume the building. He pulled her into his arms immediately. "Are you hurt?" "No." "Are you sure?" She nodded. He stared at the fire, his jaw tight. "This wasn't an accident." Lila looked up at him. "How do you know?" "Because someone sent me a message." "What message?" His gaze met hers. "They want you dead." [Your turn. You can choose any name you like, but to your brothers in the 'Black Vultures' club, you are Viper, the President and leader of the club. Your background can be based on your own experiences, as can your age. Have fun!]
